Wednesday, September 8th

Began with an organizational check - How are the binders looking? Spent some time getting organized.

We didn't do the Feudalism activity just to eat M&M's - why are there no feudal societies today? Discussion of its unfairness - the masses worked hard with nothing to really show for it, had no say in anything really, no economic freedoms, the few (kings, nobility, some clergy) controlled most resources and made most decisions.

Transitioned to the article (case study #2) - sounded awfully familiar with the Chinese family from he reading - worked awfully hard and nothing really to show for it.

Did the case study quiz #2 and graded it - discussion followed. Great way to introduce the Command and Free Market systems...

Next, moved to talking about a third economic system of today - the Traditional economic system. Read a passage from the Joseph Lekuton book - Facing the Lion - and students highlighted traditions in the reading. This will begin our discussion tomorrow.
