Final topic for the 6 Core Principles of Economics Unit - Marxism

• Began with some review questions for the test coming up on Wednesday.
• Then, made a list on the board of all the different economic freedoms the students had during the Zapitalism simulation.
• Finally - main topic - Karl Marx and Marxism/Communism - viewed a brief clip from "Heaven on Earth" (PBS - documentary on Marx and others). Then Mr. M talked about the main points of Marxism and the economic ideas of Karl Marx and Frederich Engels. Groups then were instructed to use the powerpoint (shared with students on Edmodo) and retell the story we just learned in the form of a dramatic skit. These will be performed tomorrow. Spent rest of class preparing/practicing.
