Welcome back all! You are almost done with the first quarter!
We started a new unit today! Here is our agenda:
- Mr. M talked about upcoming extra credit events and homework. (See homework page).
- Gazillionaire update - congratulations to Maisie! She was our top money maker in Gazillionaire!
- Stock Talk
- Introduction to Money and Banking!
- Mr. M had some forms of money used in the past (gold, salt, tea, fish hooks, cow, and rice). Students guessed what the items were (tea was hard to guess even after tasting it!). We came to the conclusion that anything can be money if everyone agrees to it. Plus, we talked about why we use money.
- We played this game together - it was fun although some students were stuck in the past!
