Monday, September 19th

Today our main topic was Karl Marx/Frederich Engels and Marxism.  Mr. M:

• began class reminding the students of the Binder Check and Test coming this week
• Mr. M gave a brief historical account of the turbulent 19th Century, the effects of the Industrial Revolution, and the rise of Progressive/Reform movements, and introduced Marx/Engels.
• We watched brief historical clip from PBS documentary "Heaven on Earth".
• Students worked in groups to come up with an impromptu skit retelling the story of our lesson today. They got to choose different movie genres in which to present their skit. Funny!
